When Personal Growth Becomes a Trap: Returning to Your True Feminine Essence.
Personal growth is like a drug...
Personal growth is like a drug that can keep you broken and seeking all the time. And by personal growth, I mean a lot of mindset/intellectual growth because that’s where people market.
This was something that made me feel stuck, the belief that I would always need to find my pain points and get rid of all of them before I would become successful. That’s mindset work, when you shift the mind, it doesn’t shift the body (and that’s where the beliefs lie in our bodies).
In the world of personal development, people like to create HYPE about everything to sell their programs. And this is the first sign that the false self is playing the game.
Though I’ve got to admit hype and excitement is contagious.
And hype is not the same as excitement because hype makes it seem so much better than it is.
And I fell for hype. Hard!! I thought by reading more books, listening to more podcasts, or paying for more courses would make me feel the way I dreamed of someday feeling.
Here’s what I’ve come to realize…
When humans need to hype something, its value and its truth aren’t all that authentic (say hello to your false self). A good movie, a good program, a good course, and a good coach never needs to be hyped because their energy speaks for itself.
As we peel the layers of unlearning what society has told us was true, we discover more of our divine feminine and our authentic self.
When I see the hype, I turn around and run the other way. It’s almost like they’re giving off a vibe that I don’t want to be a part of.
In the dictionary one of the definitions of hype is as follow; “to promote and publicize extravagantly. To put on. To Deceive.” (Merriam-Webster)
The true magnetic feminine vibe is excitement (and no they are not the same thing), one is created by force and one is passionate and natural.
We are insanely intuitive, and when women force their content, force their video, force their work… you’ll notice hype (or their false self).
What I have come to realize in the past year, is that you are whole as you are now.
And as we create this new paradigm together, I’d love to see more women create out of excitement, intentionality, love, and passion. It’s been underrated in the personal development industry and is probably one of the most life-giving experiences a woman can feel. We must get out of our heads and into our bodies.
Ultimately, healing Starts in the body.
And when she is her most creative, when she has the opportunity to be passionate, when she is loving and carefree and when she is excited, there is no hype needed.
This is when we are our true selves.
Contemplation: do you take time to create in your life? How can you find more time to implement these creative times in your day/life? Do you feel passion and joy towards something that may be secret to you (and to your family)? Do you intentionally spend time on the things that bring you pure joy?
